I’m Lizelot, the person behind THE VOW a wedding, destination wedding, elopement, and Content Creator.
I’ve settled down in The Netherlands after years of working and traveling the world, choosing to be close to my family.
With a true passion for photography at heart, my journey started on the other side of the camera. Having spent more than 20 years in front of it, I understand what it takes to create images that feel natural, effortless, and meaningful. I love guiding people through this process, helping them feel at ease and confident, so we can create photographs that truly reflect who they are.
As a mother of two, I deeply understand the importance of your loved ones. This connection is at the core of my work—capturing real, pure emotions and the moments that matter most. I’m an optimist by nature, happiest when surrounded by people and exploring new places.
Photography has always been my way of seeing and expressing the world. What once started organically evolved into something much more meaningful, and nearly a decade ago, I chose to pursue it fully.
Becoming a wedding photographer has been one of the most defining and rewarding decisions of my life. My work is deeply personal.
I don’t just create images—I preserve feeling. The tenderness, the in-between moments, the fleeting emotions that define your day. Photographs that, years from now, will bring you right back to how it all felt.

For me, every story begins long before the wedding day itself. I take time to truly understand who you are — what moves you, what you value, and how you imagine your celebration unfolding. This connection allows me to shape a photography experience that feels personal, intuitive, and entirely your own.
I’m endlessly inspired by human connection — by the quiet depth of love and the journey that leads two people to this moment. Being invited into such an intimate chapter of your lives is something I never take for granted. The couples I work with rarely feel like clients; there’s a genuine bond that forms, making it all the more meaningful to document your day from within.
With a camera in hand, my work takes me across Europe and far beyond, while I continue to find inspiration close to home in the Netherlands. From destination weddings to intimate elopements, from elegant city celebrations in Amsterdam to understated countryside gatherings — each story is approached with fresh eyes and a deep respect for its uniqueness.

I accept only a select number of weddings each year so I can give every couple a truly personal, thoughtful, and customized experience.

After meeting each other I have a clear picture of what you are looking for to capture so then I can give you a specially adjusted price for your wedding. On average the prices are from of 2500,-

1. What would you like to know about us and our wedding?
Tell me everything. To me, you’re not just clients—you’re people I want to connect with. Building a genuine connection is very important to me, so I’d love to learn more about who you are, what you love, and what matters most to you—both in life and on your wedding day
2. How far in advance should we book?
Many couples reach out to me more than a year before their wedding day, but I also receive last-minute requests from time to time. The earlier you get in touch, the more likely it is that your date is still available. That said, if your wedding is coming up in the next few months, don’t hesitate to reach out—I might still be available for your special day or weekend.
3. Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to capture weddings in beautiful locations such as South Africa, Italy, Morocco, Spain, Belgium, France, and Germany. That said, I also truly love documenting weddings closer to home—in the Netherlands, and especially in Amsterdam, where I’m based.
4. What is the investment?
Pricing depends on a variety of factors, as every wedding is unique. I always like to connect with couples first—either through an online meeting or in person—to talk about your plans and what matters most to you. After getting to know each other, I create a custom collection tailored to your wishes. Everything is completely non-binding, and you can take your time afterward to decide if I’m the right fit for you. 5. What is the minimum number of hours we can book you for?
You can book me starting from 10 hours on your wedding day, with the flexibility to extend as needed—there’s no strict time limit. Every wedding is different, but I typically capture around 12 to 13 hours. I’m also available for multi-day celebrations, entirely based on your plans. For elopements and more intimate weddings, I offer smaller, tailored packages.
6. When will we receive our photos?
Your full gallery will be delivered within six weeks after your wedding via a beautiful, personalized online gallery. You’ll also receive a preview within one week, so you can relive those special moments shortly after your day.
